1976 Prince Edward Island Official Road Maps

In 1976, residents of Prince Edward Island received the new plate shown above
The plates came with a painted green, black and navy blue painted backs

When a plate needed replacing, Prince Edward Island residents were given this plate and stick on numbers to add to it


1973 plates with 1975 expiry were allowed to be used through the first quarter of 1976

These 1976 stickers were used on heavy truck plates for quarterly registations
They were affixed to the large dark blue embossed square on the left hand side of the plate

The year date without a number after it would have belonged to the Premier
Plates with numbers after the dash of 0 through 9 would have belonged to Cabinet Ministers
