1975 plates with the star separator in the center did show
some movement of the star
There is a 1/2 millimeter difference on where the
stars relates to the bottom of the plates on these two issues
The DGG 759 plate
would have been issued in Wichita County
The JJN 782 would have been issued
in Rockwall County
1975 Texas base plates with the map separator, and updated
with 76 expiration stickers
It has been noted that the plate with the Q serial was not issued until the middle of 1977.
Someone probably placed a 76 old, unused sticker on it, as it would not have been possible to have had it used in 1976
As you can see, there is some difference in the
positioning of the map, and the whiteness of the reflective background on these
plates
Notes on issuing information on star and map separator plates:
Mar 75 to late 75 issues had the star
Late 75 to mid 77 issues had the map
Mid 77 the stickerwell "75" disappeared.
The map divider was added by act of legislature in May 1975
